Fun weekend!

We had a great long weekend; full of swimming, planting flowers, tending to our garden and biking. We got Addie her first bike helmet yesterday, she loves riding in the burly bee! But her highlight was swimming outside with Maya and mommy. She fell in love with a lifeguard at the Springhill pool and still talks about her; she had to show the lifeguard how she could jump in the pool all day long. She woke up yesterday morning asking for the lifeguard and saying she misses her and the lifeguard keeps her safe! Too cute, but I'm sure the lifeguard was happy we only swam on sat. Here's a few pics but I really need to get a helmet picture, Addie's too cute in it!

Things I'm excited about

I finished the first Twilight book last night and yes I LOVED it! Thanks to my Mom, Kristy and Katiebear for not giving up on me! I also loved all my other books I recently read with the exception of "Belong to Me". I'm tempted to go to story time tomorrow at Barnes & Noble just to pick up the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Twilight book!

Now for the 2nd item I'm excited about..... Sun Guard Protection, has anyone heard of this? Apparently you can wash this stuff in with your normal laundry and the clothes will have an SPF of 30! Plus it's only $2 a box. It's probably an old thing that I am just learning about :) Here's the website, http://www.sunguardsunprotection.com/How+Sunguard+Works.8.lasso

Just waiting now

The contractor finished up on Friday, so we are just waiting for the cabinets. It's nice to have the house back to ourselves this week! We are loving the great weather! Addie woke up asking to play in her water table yesterday, so we were out at 9:30am in our swimsuits! This morning she woke up calling me Dory, everyday is a surprise :)

Kitchen Updates and the Crystal Springs Garden

Well you might not see anything exciting in the kitchen picture, but we are very excited. They hung drywall today! Which means electrical, plumbing and the sub floor is complete! All that's left is cutting holes for the can lights, tape/mud and sanding (well construction part anyway). Which means we are on schedule! Addie talks about Mike (our contractor) and tells him thank you for making us a new kitchen!

Addie and I met a friend for lunch today after we fed the ducks at the park. I can't believe how big she's gotten and very talkative.I guess I didn't realize it until watching some videos from Nov/Dec. She's putting more and more sentences together everyday. As we were driving the other day I sneezed, then I heard her say "Bless you Mommy"! Too cute. She runs around the house now singing, "Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming" and "This is SERIOUS".

Pictures from this weekend

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great weekend and a fantastic Mothers Day! This morning I slept in and woke up to a yummy mocha, bagel and presents! Addie walked in our room carrying a card which she colored and telling me Happy Mothers Day. Check out her saying Happy Mothers Day (I finally caught in on camera late tonight). Kelly (oh I mean Addie) got us matching aprons and a cook book for mothers day. We spent the day at Mt. Tabor Park with Grandma Judie, Grandpa Rolland, Aunt Kate, Uncle Chris and cousins Ike and Zo. Grandma and Grandpa brought a beautiful picnic with all the fixings and delicious food. Thanks for the great food and great company! We ended the day with a 3 hour nap! To my mom, I miss you so much!!! Wish I could of celebrated with you as well today, but we send our love and can't wait to see you next month!!! Finally to my wonderful daughter, I love you more than you'll ever know and thank you for being so darn cute!

Day 3 of kitchen remodel

Here's some pictures of the progress we've made. Support frames were built (will be removed once everything is finished) and more walls came down. We also replaced multiple beams (which of course wasn't planned, but very much needed). I'm excited because the support beams were placed up in the ceiling, which I originally thought would show, but now we'll only have to deal with one post. The gas line should be in by Friday and the contractor and cabinet maker met yesterday to finalize all measurements.

So what have Addie and I been up too while all the construction is going on? We've been taking full advantage of OMSI and storytimes and getting out, as Addie likes to say it's a date! Too cute. She picked out her outfit today, a white summer dress even though it was raining. She refused to wear the sweater over it because it covered up her "beautiful princess dress". We definitely have a princess on our hands. I'm AMAZED how much she LOVES dresses and all things pink. We were looking at a catalog last night for a big girl bed, I asked her if she liked a particular blue one (which was a boys bed) and she said "NO it's a boys" and she also told daddy that he couldn't have mary jane shoes because they are for girls only, just mommy and Addie.

Thanks Aunt Kristy, Uncle BJ and Maya!

While we were destroying our kitchen this weekend, Addie had a great time staying with Aunt Kristy, Uncle BJ and Maya. She was spoiled with fun activities and lots of love! Thanks again!! Also thanks for letting me escape the mess here and hang out in the evening.

Here's a few pics on where we are now with the remodel. It's actually quite clean thanks to Kelly's hard work! I also included a pic of Addie pretending to be a baby in her Bitty baby crib a few days ago.

Let the Wild Rumpus Start!

Okay I wasn't going to post pictures, because it's so bad, but this is for Becky! We are day 1 into our kitchen remodel, with just one more wall to go! Our appliances were delivered today, but NO dishwasher :( The bottom was bent slightly so we refused it and will be waiting for a replacement. Cross your fingers the remodel goes okay :)

And thanks to my wonderful husband for all his hard work!!!
