Pretend Food

I've been busy creating pretend food for Addie's new kitchen for Christmas. Here are a few items I made. Be kind, I don't think a 22 month old will mind all my mistakes :)Can you tell what everything is "suppose" to be?

Polar Express 2008

Last night we took Addie for her 1st official train ride on the Mt. Hood Polar Express. We had a great time and so glad we went. Addie was so excited to get on the train and see Santa. She didn't want to touch him (at all!) but enjoyed watching him and singing Christmas carols. We had hot chocolate and cookies while they read the Polar Express story. She also loved her apple cidar! It was a fun way to start the holidays!

Fun Happenings and Addie checking out her dress

Last Friday, Addie and I met Aunt Traci, Uncle Cory and cousin Grant at Pioneer Square to see the 75 foot Christmas tree delivered and set up. It was very fun and the weather was beautiful! It might be one of those things we do every year! Addie got to see Santa, but I don't think we'll get a picture this year. She was shaking when he came near her and now when I ask her if she wants to sit on his lap, she says "NO"! Here's a few pictures of Friday and also Addie checking out Grandma Kay's dress.

My brave little girl

Addie and I got our flu shots today! She was so brave! She didn't even cry when she got her shot, but instead cried and wanted to hold me while I got mine. It was so cute and sad at the same time! I kept telling her I was fine but she was worried. She got an elmo and ernie sticker on the way out.

More to come........Addie wearing her handmade dress from Grandma Kay

Time to post

Here are a few pictures of Addie on the pony from Aunt Traci (and more from the pumpkin patch). Thanks Aunt Traci! Addie's been busy as usual. I was excited when she said her first word and more of the one words came; but the past FEW DAYS have been very exciting, she's starting to put words together. A few weeks ago she said "Miss you too" but then stopped. But now it's constant! Here's some of her phases: Love you too, I want a drink, good night mommy, watch MO (for elmo) and Telly, Got you, going to get you, me hold you, hold hands, hmmm where did it go?

Crayons

Today was the first time I had to clean crayons off of the wall, I'm sure there will be many more to come! Addie LOVES to color, she probably spends a few hours everyday coloring. She also is learning her colors! She knows brown, orange, yellow, pink and sometimes green. We've finally moved on from everything being blue.

O baby

We are so thankful people voted with their hearts and brain in this election (vs. eyes). I'm so excited to see what the next 4 years will bring and what changes will come. I've saved today's paper and already placed it in Addie's book.

Here's Addie celebrating.....
