Christmas Pictures

We had a great Christmas and wanted to say thank you to everyone for making our Christmas and Addie's second Christmas very special. She is having a blast playing with all her new toys and LOVED spending time with everyone during the holidays. She's still talking about playing with the boys (Zo and Ike), Maya cooking/helping in her kitchen and Aunt Traci. Can't wait to see you all again soon!

SNOW, SNOW & MORE SNOW

Hello and Merry Christmas (sort of)- so the latest news from our house: We've been complete home bodies this past week with the snow/ice. Staying busy painting, playing, baking and watching Christmas movies/cartoons. We were really hoping the weather reports would be wrong and Sunday would just be raining, but no such luck. We woke up yesterday morning with almost a foot of snow and very cold temps with freezing rain all day today. Kelly shoveled the walks/deck, etc a few times, but it didn't seem to make a difference. So we are missing Christmas at Grandma Pam and Grandpa Rick's house :( But we'll see everyone next week hopefully and be able to celebrate Christmas and even New years! Thank you aunt Traci for the great idea of re-creating it next week :) I hope everyone had a great time today and know that we would be there if we could. Addie will call later and say Christmas to everyone (she forgets to say Merry). So see you soon and hugs and kisses!!

Check out these pictures, at least it's beautiful outside!
Love you!

Winter Wonderland!

We woke up this morning to snow! It's been snowing all day long with huge gusts of wind. We finally ventured out this evening to feed the deer in the backyard, but we didn't get very far. Addie was dressed and ready to go with the juice bottle in hand, but didn't like sinking in the snow. It was so high that it covered her rain boots! Next we took off to walk around to the front of the house, but turned around quickly when the 20 degree wind hit us in the face. Maybe tomorrow we'll build the snow man. It was a fun day and I loved the excuse of everyone hanging out in the house. Here are a few pictures of Addie frosting cookies and "decorating" Simba.

Merry Christmas or as Addie says, Santa Christmas ;)

Weekend Fun!

It's been so long since I've posted on the blog, I almost forgot how! We had a great weekend and the weather was beautiful on Sat! Friday night was kicked off with a friend bringing dinner and wine, what could be nicer huh? Then Sat. morning we went to a tree farm to cut our Christmas tree, Addie met a new friend (a pug) and searched under all the trees for presents (too funny). Then later we watched cousins Zo and Ike (and got a wonderful dinner!); we all had a great time and it was fun to have the kids play together. Sunday, Kelly and I did some Christmas shopping while Addie hung out with Carol; who also brought us a Chocolate flour less cake, YUMMY!!!! We haven't decorated the tree yet, but everything else is done! We went very simple this year with decorations and instead of putting lights on the house we placed reindeer in the backyard. Which was a nice surprise for Addie. I guess the theme for the weekend was food, fun and trees:)

Here are some pictures........

Pretend Food

I've been busy creating pretend food for Addie's new kitchen for Christmas. Here are a few items I made. Be kind, I don't think a 22 month old will mind all my mistakes :)Can you tell what everything is "suppose" to be?

Polar Express 2008

Last night we took Addie for her 1st official train ride on the Mt. Hood Polar Express. We had a great time and so glad we went. Addie was so excited to get on the train and see Santa. She didn't want to touch him (at all!) but enjoyed watching him and singing Christmas carols. We had hot chocolate and cookies while they read the Polar Express story. She also loved her apple cidar! It was a fun way to start the holidays!

Fun Happenings and Addie checking out her dress

Last Friday, Addie and I met Aunt Traci, Uncle Cory and cousin Grant at Pioneer Square to see the 75 foot Christmas tree delivered and set up. It was very fun and the weather was beautiful! It might be one of those things we do every year! Addie got to see Santa, but I don't think we'll get a picture this year. She was shaking when he came near her and now when I ask her if she wants to sit on his lap, she says "NO"! Here's a few pictures of Friday and also Addie checking out Grandma Kay's dress.
