Finally, I got Addie saying I Love You on camera! Which doesn't sound hard I know, but she clams up whenever I turn the camera on (why does the record button have to beep?).

2 Year Old STATS
Addie had her 2 year old Dr. Appt today. She is only 23.2 lbs and 31.75 inches tall; which means she'll be petite like her mommy. She's only in the 10th percentile. The Dr. was very impressed when Addie handed him the right color of crayon he asked for, what a smarty :)

Shopping Fun?
A fun outing at the nursery, a 2 year old ringing the wind chimes, what could go wrong right? See that green globe? Hmmmm........ yep we broke it! I was too busy taking pictures and only paying attention to the wind chimes to notice the possible globe hazard. I must say the globe wasn't in a very good place, the wind chime hit the globe and down it went. Sorry 7 Dees! I offered to clean it up but maybe I should of paid for the globe?? They were concerned about Addie (which was awesome)and didn't mention paying for the globe. I didn't even look at the price, I was too afraid. But hey we did purchase quite a few plants (and a few extras to make up for the globe).

Happy Birthday Princess Addie
We had such a wonderful weekend celebrating Addie's 2nd birthday! On Sunday we had a birthday brunch for Addie. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with our little princess. Aunt Carol made 2 yummy cakes, Grandma Judie made her fabulous punch (which we've served at Addie's baby shower and her 1st birthday party, so it's a tradition now) and everyone went overboard with gifts. Grandma Pam made baby blankets to go with the bitty baby crib, other gifts included books, clothes, a baby doll, puzzles, swim suit, bracelet, art supplies........you get the idea. Addie is so lucky to have so many people who love her!!!
We still can't believe our little girl is 2 years old. It feels like yesterday we were in the hospital having her. I remember the first night holding my baby and singing her a song at 2:45 am, and now 2 years later Addie helps me sing the song! It's been such an exciting two years and we've LOVED watching Addie grow and become her own person. so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Happy Valentines Day
So I've been trying to figure out what to do for Addie for Valentines Day or how I can make it a little more special for a 2 year old! Typically for each holiday I purchase or make a card for her and Kelly and I write a short message to her and seal it up. I hope she'll enjoy reading it years from now (Thanks to my sister for the idea!). Then I remembered what my favorite valentine was; so up to the attic I went. I found my baby book and there is was, a handwritten note from my mom to me. I'm not sure how old I was or the year she wrote it, but above all it's my most favorite item in the whole baby book. It's a very short message, but I love it jsut the same. This got me thinking about hand writing and signatures; I have terrible writing and both my mom and sister have beautiful hand writing, which I've always been jealous about. So I set off to "recreate" the very same valentine for Addie as my mom did so many years ago; but this time I didn't worry about handwriting. My sister who told me that it's unique and years from now Addie will look back at all my letters and notes and just know that it was from her Mommy and will love seeing MY handwriting (shocking I do listen to you Kristy :)).
Here's a picture, the white letter is from my mom and the pink heart valentine is Addie's (my baby book is in the background). In case you can't read it:
My Baby Doll
That isn't going to be very tall
With lots of curls and as precious as pearls

Updates
We've been busy getting ready for Addie's birthday party this weekend! I can't believe she is almost 2!! It's gone by so fast; I miss the little newborn days of sleeping and all the milestones. She woke up last night crying, I guess a bad dream? Anyway all she wanted to do was "Hold you Mommy" and rock, so we did. I love watching her learn something new everyday and having great conversations with her, but I know I will always think back at those long nights rocking her or waking up to nurse. Definitely some of my favorite mommy moments. So I was actually excited to rock and cuddle with her last night! What are yours?
So I mentioned Addie learns something new everyday right, well the latest is distinguishing what's FUN! When we go shopping she tells me how much FUN she had! Then today while getting her dressed I told her we going to dance class and her response - "Oh the fun tunnel, and fun kids!" She also loves telling me what color everything is and right now she loves red!
Happy Monday!
