Tulips
We had a great time on Sunday visiting the Tulip Festival with Aunt Kristy, Aunt Traci, Grandma Pam and Maya. Maya was such a sweet big cousin and held on tight to Addie during the cow-train ride; which she loved so much she made Aunt Traci take her again! As for the tulips, well Addie wasn't too impressed. She said the flowers at McDonald's were "Very Beautiful" but not one word about the millions of Tulips!

Cannon Beach
I almost forgot to post about Cannon Beach! Kelly and I went to Cannon Beach for the weekend and Addie stayed with Grandma Judie and Grandpa Rolland. It was so nice to get away and glad Addie had a great time too! She told us all about planting flowers, coloring and the waterfalls Sunday evening. Thanks again Judie and Rolland!

Easter pictures
These pictures are long overdue, but it's been a rough week. Last Tuesday Simba got very sick and it was finally time to put him down. We've had Simba since he was 7 weeks old, he was our first baby, so it's been a hard week! My mom used to say when she died she wanted to come back as our dog (that's just how much we spoiled him!). But we know he's in a better place now and hopefully he knows how much we miss him and loved him!
Okay now on to Easter! Sat night before Easter we colored eggs and oh how Addie LOVED it! I didn't get too many pictures (I was trying to control the mess!) she thought it was just as much fun to dye her hands too, which were green for several days after. Then on Sunday morning she hopped from her room and followed the bunny footprints to find her easter basket (can you tell they are footprints?? I tried). She also kept thanking the bunny throughout the morning (see her waving toward the window, she thought the bunny was outside our door since the footprints stopped there). Then we got dressed up to head to Lebanon, she wasn't happy about leaving her new wooden cookies. She loved the easter egg hunt and knew exactly what to do (and no I promise I didn't coach her all week!). Anyway it was a fun day and great memories! Please send me some pictures if you have any, I didn't get as many as I would of liked.

Our Nana
I was going through my pictures from 2006 looking for something and came across all of Simba's pictures, which made me sad. He's been sick for several years but just keeps on truckin, this is how he used too look. Addie calls him Nana (after the dog in Peter Pan) instead of Simba. Every morning she walks out in the living room and tells him "morning"! These are the little things I love!

New books for........ Mommy!
I LOVE getting new books for Addie, but never buy books for myself. I guess I am just too cheap or don't want to spend the money, especially if I don't like the book. But this past week I've recieved 3 books! One borrowed from Grandma Judie, which so far is really good! Then the 2nd from my mom, Twlight, yes I am the last person to read it! I know Katelan, Kristy and my mom think I'm a loser for not getting into the series yet. And the third, In Praise of Stay at Home Moms! Guess who got me this book? My wonderful husband! I'm so excited to read them all and thanks to everyone!
Easter Bunny is early!
Thank you so much Grandma Kay and Grandma Judie for the dresses and the easter goodies!! Addie loves her dresses and her books. Thank you so much for the wonderful presents and making Addie feel so special! She was so excited opening the gifts and trying on the dresses!
A trip to the Zoo
Addie and I went to the Zoo on Monday, it was perfect weather and we had a great time! We packed a lunch and headed out for the whole day. It's so fun talking with her and how expressive she is about all the animals. It seems like she's grown up over night, during our previous trips to the Zoo, she just went along for the ride. But Monday as we drove there she chatted about all the animals and told me which ones she wanted to see first (the giraffe and baby elephant). She even remembered we packed a lunch and wanted to go on the train after lunch. What a big girl! Last year she loved watching the Monkeys, but now (as Addie says) "monkeys scare you".

Nice weather finally!
It was a beautiful weekend (FINALLY) and we took full advantage of it! Sat was packed full of fun, playing at the park and going to a birthday party! Addie loved playing with all the kids and had a great time kissing all the babies. Today we took a long walk and did some gardening outside. Addie colored with caulk and helped me weed, but had way more fun helping Daddy move dirt. She also enjoyed sitting on her new bike while I pushed her around the block (yes, she is a princess but she has an excuse, she can't reach the pedals). I'm amazed how fast everyday goes by and how much she knows already. Also check out her sense of style, she picked out her clothes this morning and had to wear a dress too!
