More pictures
We can't believe Matilda is 8 days old already! It's been a crazy week but we are enjoying every moment of it, even the tough times. Last Sat Matilda's Dr. came in and swept her off to the special care nursery because her jaundice levels were dangerously high, so she spent the next 3 days under the lights :( But the nurses were unbelievably wonderful and fell in love with Matilda right away. Her main nurse was from Australia and sang her the waltzing Matilda song and wrote her special notes. So she got some very special attention. Kelly and I were pretty exhausted, going down to the nursery every 3 hours since it was the only time we got to hold her. Grandma Kay stayed one night in the hospital with me since Addie was so disappointed we weren't home yet and was getting a cold, thanks Mom! When we finally got home we had to hook her up to the biliblanket, so we called her our little glowworm or firefly. Hopefully today was her last blood test, she's had 12 in her little feet. She's doing great and has gained all her weight back and then some! Addie continues to love on her, waking up at 5am ready to hold her little sister. Tonight was her first sponge bath too. So life is really good right now and we are excited to finally settle in to our new routine :)
Here's more pics from the hospital, trying to catch up.
(Don't you love how Addie has her grandma wrapped around her finger?)
