Addie's new PJ and the Childrens Museum

Addie and her Bitty Baby got matching PJs for her birthday. She LOVES them and finds it very amusing that her and the Baby "match", but of course she asked where the "witches" PJs were? For those that don't know, Addie's favorite toy is the evil fairy from Sleeping Beauty. We take the witch everywhere and she is probably the only 2 year old that runs around the house calling for her figurines.

These other pics are from the Children's Museum with her buddy Cameron. Cameron is a few months older than Addie and all boy, but they love playing together. She especially loves their playdates because Cameron has a 4 month old baby brother! On this particular day she thought it was great to show off her firm belly to everyone?

Ready for the park?

Addie has been such a blast these last couple of weeks! Here's a picture of her getting ready for the park. Elmo (her bath toy) is in the stroller with a blanket while poor baby get thrown out. She's putting more words together and has started using "I" a bunch instead of "Addie". One of my favorite things to watch is her trying to catch the squirrels at the park, she says "I get them, Addie will get them" and races after them. I know the terrible 2's are here, but besides a couple of ugly incidents, it's been smooth sailing. She seems to key in on the word "safe", if I want her to stop doing something (standing up on a chair...) I'll tell her that it's unsafe, or she needs to be safe while crossing the street and hold hands. So far it's always worked and I'm trying not to over-use the word! I am one very lucky mommy!

Grandma Kay came to visit

We were so sad Grandma Kay had to go home to Texas yesterday. She was here for 2 weeks! Unfortunately she was in town because a close friend had major surgery and we are still praying things will improve! In between hospital visits we got to visit with her and spend time with the whole family. Addie finally warmed up to Grandma Dorothy thanks to Grandma Dorothy's doll collection. This has NEVER happened!

I was upstairs making lunch while Addie was downstairs playing and watching Peter Pan today, but when I came to get her this is what I found! She's never fallen asleep watching a movie, playing on the floor, etc.

2 year old pictures

We had Addie's 2 year old pictures today. It was TWO fun! We tried a different photographer, we paid only for the 1 hour session and purchased the entire photo collection (over 400 photos) for $100. It was great deal and gives us the flexibility to edit photos.
