First Day of School
I can't believe it's school and summer has ended. This is the first year I am actually craving more summertime. Probably because of this crazy week, Addie starting kindergarten and Matilda turning 2. Time has gone by too fast and I'm already missing those lazy mornings hanging out in our pjs (ok we are only on day 1 of school). Ok enough of that, Addie had a great day and I am really happy for this year.
We found out last week Addie got her choice of teacher and the AM class. So things started off pretty awesome already! She has a male teacher who plays lots of music and we've only heard great things! Some things we did to get ready for the transition, we attended a few book fairs over the summer at the school and also the BBQ open house. The open house was fun and a chance to drop off supplies before the first day. We also printed morning and evening routine charts and framed them outside of the girl's bedroom. Finally last night we had a school celebration, complete with dollar tree school cute outs and Addie's favorite dinner.
