Strawberry Kids Parade

We participated in the kids parade this year, it was so much fun! Thanks to everyone for getting the wagons and outfits ready! My girls were strawberries from Chine (Strawberries around the World). But we also had Brazil, Rome, France, and of course the US represented. It was fun to see all the kiddos waiting for the parade to start and tossing out the candy (which I think we consumed more than we actually tossed out). The only downside, besides a little meltdown from Matilda, was Addie's allergies. By the time we got home her eyes were swollen I didn't recognize her. This year seems bad and we may need to get some stronger meds :(

May

May has been a very busy month! Mothers Day was excellent! We celebrated with a tea party and play at Addie's school. All the kids drew a picture of their moms and made them into necklaces. The play was all about bees and the weather. Addie was a poppy flower and delivered her 2 lines perfectly. We are winding down in soccer and gymnastics. Also had kindergarten round up and the school open house! Tears, tears for me. Next up is girl scout camps, swim lessons and more summer camps.

Matilda continues to crack us up with her new words and all her expressions. She LOVES going anywhere and thinks all places are her personal playgrounds. So it keeps us on the move. These past several weeks have been pretty smooth (dare I say that??) and the girls relationship continues to grow. My absolute favorite thing is watching them play and take care of each other. You can ask Matilda who she loves and who loves her, her response "ADDIEEE". Just love it!

Tulips!

In between rain showers the girls and I drove out to the tulips. The girls loved the cow train and the mud puddles! I got a few cute shots and the best part? No trips or falls in the mud!

Soccer

Addie started soccer last week! She's still not too sure about it, she wants to kick the ball fast right now! But one thing for sure, she's so cute out there!

Easter pics

We kicked off Easter with an egg hunt at school, even Matilda got the hang of it very quickly! The Easter bunny must of really had a workout bringing the girl's "baskets" to our house!

March update

Hmmm.....where does the time go? March was very busy and went by super fast. It was a fun month though with birthday parties and spring break. For spring break we went to the coast for a couple of nights. The girls had a great time running in the hotel on the way down to the pool! Matilda and Addie both love the water. We played a little on the beach (a bit too cold though) and visited the aquarium. The last night was pizza and movie night!

As far as the home front, the girls are just busy with gymnastics and Addie's school. Magoo dropped out of his obedience class, I think he was pretty thrilled to be an underachiever. He's getting huge but still managing to fit through the small opening on our new fence (???), but comes back when you call him. We also have 2 ducks that come up to the house, it's been fun feeding them and having them as "pets". Matilda is in love.

Matilda's 18 month appointment was last week, 25 lbs and 32 inches! 50-75%. She's getting so big and really talking more. She understands a ton and loves playing with Addie. Favorite books are Goodnight Gorilla and Walter the Farting Dog. If you knew Matilda, you'd understand those books fit her perfectly!

Addie starts soccer this week, should be interesting. We had a special date last week, went to the Children's Musuem and then shopping downtown. She painted her face green (to look like E.T.) so we got quite the looks walking around. I love how vivid her imagination can be.

Bathroom make-over

I need to post all about our March Madness, but for now wanted to share our recent project. We've just now begun to pick paint colors and start painting, but the downstairs bath is done. My goal was to spend $ on paint only :) I need to get a few new hand towels but it's done!
